Financial Advisor

Alex Collins is a highly skilled financial advisor who uses The Clarity Formula® to help simplify complex situations and provide actionable guidance. Specializing in small business transitions, exit planning, and investment advisory for high-net-worth clients, he excels at identifying gaps, creating effective strategies, and driving progress. Alex also works to build client confidence by collaborating closely with their other professional advisors. He aims to structure personalized frameworks that help keep clients’ assets working efficiently, even while they sleep.  

Before joining HCR Wealth Advisors, Alex was a business performance manager at Amgen, advising senior executives on financial analysis and business strategy. Previously, he served as a chief engineer at Starlight Marine Services.

Alex earned an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in marine engineering from the California Maritime Academy. He is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and holds a professional certificate in Socially, Environmentally, and Ethically Responsible (SEER) business management. Alex is also pursuing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification and his Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) charter. 

In his personal time, Alex is an avid reader who enjoys playing guitar, listening to rare music, restoring his 1984 Chevrolet El Camino, and hitting the golf course when he can. He lives with his wife and two dogs, and they’re eagerly expecting their first child.
